An Everyman Story

Pastor Chris continues our series in Judges, and this week we step into one of the most surprising and unsettling parts of the whole book. We meet a man called Micah — and no, not Micah the prophet. These two are chalk and cheese. This Micah is a picture of what happens when people create their own version of faith, their own version of God, and their own version of truth. It’s a story full of confusion, compromise, and spiritual drift. And it all sits under that haunting line: “Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” Judges 17–18 challenges us to ask: What happens when worship becomes self‑made?
