Glory To God Alone

Today we welcome visiting speaker Andy Turnbull, who continues our series in 1 Samuel with a message titled “Glory to God Alone.” In chapter 4, we step into one of the most sobering moments in Israel’s history: the loss of the Ark, the defeat at the hands of the Philistines, and the tragic reminder that God’s presence cannot be presumed upon. It is a passage that calls us to humility, reverence, and a deeper trust in the holiness of God. Andy helps us explore what happens when God’s people rely on symbols instead of obedience, and how—even in moments of apparent defeat—God’s glory remains undiminished. 📖 Today’s reading: https://www.bible.com/bible/59/1SA.4.1-22.ESV 🎧 More video, audio, and transcripts from Beech Hill Church: https://www.beechhillchurch.org.uk/ta.
